I am a sucker for fruitcake,God bless whoever discovered or invented it(what’s the word????) It is right up my alley where chocolate reigns.i think it’s a cake that went to private school,I could sing its praises all day
The thing about it though is that it calls for plenty more ingredients than regular cake and it needs time to mature before it can truly be enjoyed.It goes through more of a process than the ordinary cake and as a result it keeps longer than the rest.
Maybe that’s true too about our lives as well.The processes that require time tend to bring out the best in and of us.Its just that it involves pressure of varying intensity and that isn’t quite fun but if you stick it out long enough to ride the wave of challenge,something beautiful comes out the other side.More than often it is something transformational.
The year 2022 ends today,if your processes have been brutal remind yourself that it’s simply the beauty of becoming at play.When it’s all done,the finest of you will surface. Hang in there!!!cheers to fruitcake and a happy new year!
